When I first started in photography I said I never wanted to shoot weddings.  I was not confident that I would get the right shots and I would totally disappoint the newlyweds.  After all, you don't get a "do-over" for wedding pictures.  Then, a few years ago, a friend called me asking if I could possibly help out her clients.  A family member who had agreed to take pictures at their wedding had back out at the last minute.  With a knot in my stomach, I agreed.  I was upfront with the bride that I had never shot a wedding, but she was amazingly calm and confident in me after looking at my portfolio.  I must have looked at a million wedding pictures from that day until the wedding day.  I had no idea how I was going to pull it off.  I'm pretty sure I was more nervous than the bride when the day finally arrived.  But once I got behind that camera, I had a blast and the nerves went away. I must say I'm pretty proud of my first wedding photos.

Fast forward to 2015... This year I shot 3 weddings!! That may not sound like a big deal to my professional photographer friends, but for me it was enough to make me realize 2 things... I LOVE being a photographer and weddings are A LOT of work!!

On April 29, 2015, I had the honor of photographing my niece's wedding.  It felt like yesterday that she was going into kindergarten and there she was marrying the man of her dreams.  She planned every detail to perfection and the day was amazing. With their children, family and friends as witnesses, CherylAnne and Scott made their lifelong promises to each other and I could not have been more proud. 

Next up was Paul and Mark's wedding.  The ceremony and reception were both held at the Save the Bay Center.  I was so excited for an outdoor ceremony on the water.  I had my fingers crossed for nice weather and it paid off.  While there was rain in the forecast, it held off and the first drops started to fall only as I was leaving the wedding.  Mark and Paul are a great couple and if they were even a little nervous, it sure didn't show.  They and their guests had a blast and the fun was contagious.  I didn't even feel like I was working!!

My last wedding of the year was Amanda and Joe. Since I had already done their engagement photos and Amanda's bridal portraits, I was already super comfortable with them.  They are such a fun, easy going couple.  The wedding was perfect!  It was elegant and fun, with a few surprises (as you'll see in the pictures).

I can't thank these couples enough for trusting me with one of the most important jobs on one of the biggest days of their lives.  I can only hope that the photos are everything you wanted, and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
